Card Terms

Review terms that apply to RutoWallet virtual card access, usage, fees, limits, restrictions, and provider requirements.

These Card Terms apply to RutoWallet virtual card services. They explain important rules for card eligibility, KYC, purchase, recharge, spending, withdrawals, fees, restrictions, management, and provider requirements.

RutoWallet may provide access to virtual Visa or Mastercard card services through third-party card providers, issuers, processors, program managers, card networks, and related infrastructure partners.

Card Eligibility

Card services may be available only to eligible users who meet account, region, KYC, compliance, risk, provider, issuer, and card plan requirements.

RutoWallet may approve, decline, delay, restrict, suspend, or terminate card access based on KYC results, provider rules, issuer requirements, card network rules, regional restrictions, suspicious activity, account status, or compliance obligations.

KYC Requirement

Users must complete required KYC verification before creating, purchasing, or using a RutoWallet virtual card. RutoWallet may use Sumsub or another verification provider to collect and verify required information.

If KYC is declined, incomplete, expired, inconsistent, restricted, or under review, the user may be unable to create, purchase, recharge, withdraw from, or use a card.

Card Purchase and Plans

Users may need to select a card plan and pay applicable card purchase, issuance, setup, or plan fees before a virtual card is created.

Card plan names, pricing, limits, provider features, BIN quality, merchant support, supported wallets, and availability may change over time. Users should review the latest plan details before purchase.

A submitted card purchase may be reviewed before the card is issued. RutoWallet may notify users if a card request is approved, declined, delayed, or requires additional action.

Card Balance and Recharge

RutoWallet wallet balance and card balance are separate. Funds in a wallet are not automatically spendable through a virtual card.

To use a virtual card, users must recharge or top up the card from their RutoWallet wallet balance. During recharge, selected cryptocurrency may be converted into USD or another supported card balance currency.

Before confirming a recharge, RutoWallet aims to show the estimated amount to be added to the card and any applicable fees or conversion details.

Card Spending

RutoWallet virtual cards may be used only with eligible merchants, supported transaction types, supported regions, sufficient card balance, and applicable card network, issuer, provider, and compliance rules.

Transactions may be declined because of insufficient balance, incorrect card details, merchant restrictions, unsupported merchant category, unsupported region, provider limits, risk checks, compliance controls, 3D Secure requirements, card status, or technical issues.

Declined and Failed Transactions

Some declined, failed, reversed, or attempted card transactions may still create fees or provider charges. These charges may be deducted from card balance, wallet balance, or handled according to the applicable card plan.

Users should review card plan details, fee information, merchant eligibility, and transaction status before retrying a failed transaction.

Card Withdrawals

Where supported, users may withdraw available card balance back to their RutoWallet wallet. During withdrawal, USD or other card balance may be converted into a supported cryptocurrency and credited to the user's wallet after applicable fees and conversion conditions.

Card withdrawal availability may depend on card status, provider rules, account status, compliance checks, available balance, pending transactions, negative balances, unpaid fees, or other restrictions.

Fees and Negative Balances

Card fees may include purchase fees, recharge fees, withdrawal fees, transaction fees, foreign exchange or conversion costs, failed transaction fees, provider charges, settlement charges, or other plan-specific fees.

If a card balance becomes negative or a provider charge remains unpaid, RutoWallet may require the user to settle the amount or may deduct the owed amount from the user's available wallet balance where permitted.

Restrictions

Users must not use RutoWallet virtual cards for restricted merchants, prohibited categories, sanctioned regions, illegal purchases, cash-like transactions where prohibited, fraud, abuse, or activity restricted by provider, issuer, card network, law, or RutoWallet policy.

RutoWallet may block, decline, restrict, freeze, or close card access where required or appropriate for compliance, provider rules, card network requirements, issuer rules, fraud prevention, or user protection.

Card Management

Users may be able to view card details, review balance, check limits, freeze a card, unfreeze a card, change supported settings, or close a card from the card management section.

Users should freeze the card and contact support immediately if they suspect unauthorized card use, exposed card details, suspicious transactions, or compromised account access.

Card Closure

RutoWallet or its providers may close, suspend, disable, or replace a card based on card status, user request, provider requirements, suspicious activity, unpaid fees, compliance obligations, region restrictions, or product changes.

Before closure, users may need to settle unpaid fees, negative balances, pending transactions, disputes, or provider requirements. Remaining card balance may be handled according to applicable rules and availability.

Third-Party Rules

Virtual card services are subject to provider, issuer, processor, program manager, merchant, card network, and wallet compatibility rules. These third parties may change rules, fees, limits, regions, supported merchants, or features.

RutoWallet is not responsible for independent merchant decisions, provider outages, issuer restrictions, card network restrictions, or third-party wallet compatibility decisions outside RutoWallet's reasonable control.
